Discipleship thrives in smaller groups. Jesus had 12 disciples, and a close-knit group of 3. Smaller groups help people build deeper, more personal connections, as individuals are seen and known. In larger groups, it’s easy to get lost. Discipleship grows best in close relationships, which are easier to form in smaller groups. While big group teachings are helpful, real discipleship needs more than that.

Jesus made disciples through relationships, intention, and hands-on teaching. He spent over three years guiding His 12 disciples, teaching them through real-life experiences. As they traveled and faced challenges, He explained things from the perspective of God’s Kingdom. Jesus also built deep, personal relationships with His disciples.

When we ask believers around the world, “Have you ever been taught how to make disciples?” most say no. Research shows that many believers don’t make disciples because they feel unqualified or haven’t been shown how.

Discipleship is vital for every Christian. To keep it simple, discipleship means teaching about Jesus. Making disciples means teaching others how to make disciples who, in turn, make disciples.

Core Discipleship helps individuals and churches make disciples by offering free online training and resources. Our goal is to help people grow in their faith, connect with the Bible, build relationships with God and others, and become disciple-makers themselves.

Founded in 2001, our ministry provides a simple, proven, biblical process that will help you start your discipleship group and support you along the way.

• Free Live Discipleship Training: Our free, online discipleship courses are live, not pre-recorded. When you join, you’re participating in real-time with Certified Discipleship Training Directors and fellow disciples from around the world. During the training, you will begin praying for two or three others who you will then begin discipling. Each week you will receive free discipleship lessons taught in each session. Every person who successfully completes the course will receive a personalized Training Certificate.
• Free Discipleship Resources: We provide comprehensive discipleship studies and workbooks for personal or church-wide use.
• Supporting Discipleship Ministries Worldwide: As approved by our Board, we financially help those who have completed our discipleship courses, are starting new churches and ministries, and are dedicated to making disciples who make disciples.
