Our Core Beliefs
At Core Discipleship, we believe biblical truth is meant to be lived, obeyed, and multiplied through disciples who follow Jesus and help others follow Him. These core beliefs shape our teaching, our mission, and our understanding of what it means to live as faithful disciples of Christ.
God is Loving, Just, and Personal
We believe God is loving, righteous, holy, and deeply personal. He created us for relationship with Himself and reveals His character throughout Scripture. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to reflect His love, justice, mercy, and truth in the way we live and relate to others.
Scripture: 1 John 4:8–10; Psalm 103:13; Romans 2:6–11
The Bible is God’s Inspired Word
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, fully trustworthy and sufficient for salvation, spiritual growth, and daily life. Scripture is the foundation for our faith, teaching, discipleship, and mission.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105
One God in Three Persons
We believe there is one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, equal in glory and power, working together in perfect unity.
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father, and will return again. Salvation is found in Him alone.
Scripture: John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:11
Humanity and Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God yet separated from Him because of sin. Sin affects every part of human life and breaks our relationship with God and others. Every person needs forgiveness, redemption, and new life through Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1–2; Genesis 1:27; James 4:17
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not by human effort or works. Through repentance and faith, people are forgiven, made new, and restored into relationship with God.
Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:1
The Holy Spirit Empowers Believers
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, transforming lives, producing spiritual fruit, empowering obedience, and equipping disciples for ministry and mission.
Scripture: John 14:26; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23; Acts 1:8
The Church is the Body of Christ
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, love one another, make disciples, and proclaim the gospel among all nations. Every believer is called to participate in the life and mission of the Church.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 1:22–23; Matthew 28:19–20
The Great Commission
We believe Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations. Every disciple is called to live missionally, share the gospel, and help others grow into mature followers of Christ.
Scripture: Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 2:2
Jesus Will Return
We believe Jesus Christ will personally return to judge the living and the dead, establish His Kingdom in fullness, and restore all things. Believers live with hope, urgency, holiness, and expectation as we await His return.
Scripture: Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 22:12–13
