Why Core Discipleship?
Many followers of Jesus want to grow in their faith and help others follow Christ, but they have never been shown how (Discipleship Questions Everyone Asks).
Jesus’ invitation was simple: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)
He didn’t call people into a program. He called them into a relationship that would transform their lives and overflow into the lives of others (Equipping the Saints to Make Disciples).
That is why Core Discipleship exists.
We help everyday believers follow Jesus more intentionally through biblical teaching, meaningful relationships, and practical disciple-making. Whether you are new to the faith or have walked with Christ for years, you’ll discover a clear pathway for growing spiritually and helping others do the same.
You do not need all the answers. You simply need a willingness to follow Jesus and help others follow Him.
Not theory.

A Simple Pathway for Making Disciples
Discipleship is not a series of stages we complete and leave behind. As we follow Jesus, we grow in Christ and begin helping others follow Him. As we disciple others, we grow in our ability to lead and equip them. Over time, disciples become disciple-makers who help others make disciples.
The Pathway: Follow → Grow → Lead → Multiply
Discipleship is not a single moment. It is a journey of transformation that leads to reproduction. We walk this journey in four simple movements: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and the Master’s Community.
1. Follow Jesus – Basic Training
Everything begins here.
In Basic Training, you learn what it means to follow Jesus through Scripture, prayer, obedience, and community. But discipleship does not stop with our own spiritual growth. As you learn to follow Jesus, you are encouraged to begin helping others follow Him.
During the fourteen-week journey, participants are encouraged to pray about whom God may be calling them to disciple and to begin a Core Group of their own.
You do not have to be a perfect disciple before you begin discipling others. You learn by following Jesus, and you help others follow Him as you continue to grow.
This is where formation and reproduction begin together.
2. Grow in Christ – Intermediate Training
As you continue walking with Jesus, your understanding, obedience, and spiritual maturity deepen.
You learn to understand Scripture more clearly, apply it more consistently, and help the people you are discipling do the same.
The Core Group continues to be an important environment for growth—not only for you, but for those you are investing in.
As you grow as a disciple, you also grow as a disciple-maker.
3. Lead Others – Advanced Training
As you continue making disciples, you grow in your ability to lead and equip others.
Advanced Training develops the disciple-maker’s ability to guide a Core Group of 3–4 people in Scripture, prayer, obedience, accountability, and multiplication.
You are not building a program—you are walking with people as Jesus walked with His disciples.
You are learning not only to make disciples, but to help your disciples become disciple-makers themselves.
4. Multiply Disciple-Makers – Master’s Community
The Master’s Community is not the completion of discipleship. It is a community for those committed to making disciples for life.
After walking through the training pathway and demonstrating faithfulness, these men and women continue growing together, encouraging one another, developing disciple-makers, and helping multiply the work into future generations.
The goal is not to graduate from discipleship. The goal is to continue following Jesus while helping others follow Him—and equipping them to do the same.

These are not two different pathways. They describe the same journey from two perspectives: how a disciple grows and how that disciple increasingly serves and equips others.
The Simple Pattern We Follow
We do not complicate what Jesus made clear.
Our model is built on three simple rhythms:
- We gather in small, relational groups (3–4 people)
- We open Scripture and learn to obey it together – the Bible is the curriculum
- We multiply what we are receiving into others
No stage is meant to be the end. What we receive, we learn to reproduce in others.
A Global Vision with a Simple Beginning
Around the world, God is raising up ordinary believers who are learning to make disciples in simple, reproducible ways.
This is not a classroom model. It is a life-on-life movement.
From homes to villages, cities to nations, disciples are learning to walk with Jesus and help others do the same. The vision is not addition. It is multiplication.
From North America to Africa to Asia, disciples are learning to walk with Jesus and help others follow Him. Since 2025:
• People who heard the Gospel: 359,000+
• People who accepted Jesus as Lord: 74,000+
• People baptized: 29,000+
• Number of Core Groups established: 2,400+
These results reflect what God has done through faithful indigenous disciple-makers serving in villages, cities, and house churches. Every number represents a person created in God’s image who has had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and begin following Jesus. Updated through June 30, 2026.
The vision is simple: Love God, love others, and make disciples — disciples who make disciples who make disciples who make disciples.
Who This Pathway Is For
This pathway is designed for anyone who desires to follow Jesus more intentionally and help others do the same.
Whether you are single or married, young or old, new in your faith or have been walking with Christ for many years, this pathway will help you grow as a disciple of Jesus and participate more fully in His mission.
Perhaps you serve in church leadership, ministry, missions, theological education, the workplace, or your local community. Wherever God has placed you, these lessons will help you develop a deeper understanding of what it means to follow Jesus faithfully and help others follow Him as well.
You do not need to be a pastor, ministry professional, or Bible scholar. You simply need a teachable heart, a willingness to obey God’s Word, and a desire to follow Jesus one step at a time.
Throughout this journey, you will be encouraged to move beyond simply gaining knowledge to putting God’s Word into practice. The lessons are biblical, practical, and reproducible, designed to be lived out and shared with others in everyday life.
Our prayer is that as you grow as a disciple, God will use you to make disciples who make disciples.
Start Where You Are
Every disciple begins somewhere.
You do not have to figure out the whole journey at once. You only need to take the next step.
Start with Basic Training. Walk with others. Learn to obey Scripture. Let Jesus form your life.
And as He does, He will use you to help others do the same.
“Come, follow Me.”
Jesus still speaks these words today.
And the invitation has not changed:
Follow Him.
Be formed by Him.
And make disciples who do the same.
