Yohannes Sahile – Training and Education Director Africa

Yohannes Sahile has committed his life to training and discipling the next generation of church leaders. With ministry experience in both Africa and the U.S., he holds a BA in Bible and Theology from Ethiopia, an MDiv from Kenya, and a PhD in Old Testament from Dallas Theological Seminary. Sent by his church in Garland, Texas, Yohannes now serves with his family in Kenya, teaching at Africa International University in Nairobi, Kenya (NEGST-AIU). Beyond the classroom, he mentors 4 to 6 students over five months, helping them grow in faith and learn to hear and follow God’s voice. His dedication to teaching and discipleship impacts both students and the broader African church. He is currently enrolled in Core Discipleship Basic and Intermediate training and has launched Core Discipleship Training Africa. Yohannes is married to Betelhem Gebre, and they have three children: Ebenezer, Eyosias, and Batseba.

Shadrack Hoidi – Training Director Africa

Shadrack is married to Millcent Hoidi, and they have a wonderful son, Ethan. Since 2018, Shad has been passionately committed to training and equipping young people in universities in western Kenya to become disciple-makers. Each week, Shad meets with multiple student core discipleship groups in his home, and during holidays, hosts students in his home for extended training sessions. He also disciples pastors and missionaries in Nigeria and Congo. Shad has completed Core Discipleship’s Basic and Intermediate training and has worked in partnership with Core Discipleship since 2021. In collaboration with Yohannes Sahille, he is providing Core Discipleship Training in Africa. Shadrack holds a BSc in Disaster Management and Environmental Technology.

Taizul lives in Bangladesh, was born into a Muslim family. He was then introduced to Jesus and He became his Lord and Savior. Taizul began attending and completed his studies at CCC Theology College. He worked as a mentor for two years, then trained for two more years as a Master Trainer with Tree of Life (IMB) in Bangladesh. Later, God led him to evangelize in new areas, and he graduated from a program in India focused on Muslim evangelism. He left Tree of Life and started independent missionary work. In God’s grace, he is now reaching hundreds of Muslims and Hindus with the Gospel.

Today, Taizul has completed both Basic and Intermediate Core Discipleship courses and oversees a group of 10 Core Discipleship leaders who have launched more than 100 Core Discipleship-based house churches throughout Bangladesh. Taizul is married to Mukta Khatun, and they have two children: Jesun and Jessica. In God’s grace, his entire family has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Doug Morrell, President/Founder and Global Training Director

Doug is committed to helping disciples learn to make disciples. Beginning in 1989 with a core group of three men, he has since discipled many men and women around the world. Doug is passionate about helping others make disciples and has served alongside ministries such as Wycliffe, DiscipleLand, Center of Hope, Bridge Builders, New River Fellowship, and Project 4031.
